What are these tiny moths in my house. Wash clothes that contain larvae or eggs. I dont know why or how theyre getting in my house. When dealing with a moth infestation people often see the adult moths first but the real pests are larvae that are small white and frequently hidden in food sources. A good way to catch all of these is a beer or wine long neck wine bottle with what comes in them can catch them.
Just like their categories imply these insects go after different food sources in different parts of the house. Look particularly in the corners of the carpets where the hoover doesnt quite reachand look for cocoons they are like small torpedoes. I seem to have lots of small moths in my house. I dont leave windows open and even if i did they have screens on them. Check your closets and cupboards really carefully they are not just randomly flying around. I had them in my house for ages. These moths are considered to be pests that feed on cruciferous crops.
They contain the pre emergent moths. I dont leave my doors open for long periods of time either. Okay so i just found 3 in my room tonight 2 in my house the night before and more the nights before that. The wingspan of diamondback moths is about 15 mm and the length of their body is almost 6 mm.
I have a screen door and if i open the door my screen door stays closed. Adult moths are only about 38 inch long with a 12 inch wingspan and are brownish gray with a two tone appearance to their wings. Pantry moths are especially likely to infest bulk cereals and grains. You might find these higher up on the backs of curtains etc and wonder what they are.
An adult indian meal moth is usually half an inch long with gray and bronze wings.
